FEBRUARY 12, 2002 - NEW MOON -
23 AQUARIUS 25 - 1:40 AM CST
Expect the unexpected with the Aquarius
New Moon conjunct Uranus. How do you deal with change? If your
plans alter suddenly are you upset or flexible? Use this New Moon
to see if you can go with the flow. Find delight in the creative
and surprising people and ideas that come into your life at this time.
Don't make major decisions too quickly though
PS: Don't stick the fork in the toaster.
Uranus rules electricity and appliances and shocking situations of all
kinds.
FEBRUARY 27, 2002 - FULL MOON - 8 VIRGO 36 - 3:16 AM CST The Sun and Moon of this Full Moon create a pretty tight T-square with Saturn (8 Gemini 23). Two keywords for Virgo in general are picky and critical and Saturn kicks it up a notch. When you are trying to communicate your ideas to others whether socially or at work, try your best not to be judgmental or negative. What if you're the one being criticized? How do you usually handle those type of situations? How would you like to handle them better? Take some time perhaps a week before the Full Moon to visualize yourself handling a critique in a logical and courteous way. (That's assuming that you want to be logical and courteous, of course.) The third scenario with this Full Moon is being critical and judgmental with our own selves. I have an exercise for it -- but it's a tough one ;-) Look at yourself in the mirror every day, smile warmly and say, "Hi, there! I like you!" MARCH 1 - JUPITER DIRECT - 6 CANCER Jupiter brings an expansive energy that, at this time of year, could resemble spring fever -- the desire to travel, and just to have more freedom in general. Financial opportunity might come your way, but watch out for plans that are too grandiose or impractical. Money owed may be returned to you now. And Jupiter in Cancer is also a good time for connecting with family, whether big scale reunions or sending just sending an email to someone you haven't talked to in a long time. *****
3-13-02 - New Moon

Stationary Points A station point or stationary point is a time and location in space that a planet appears to stop in its orbit before it goes retrograde or direct. These stopping points of planets set up a powerful resonance of the planetary energy at that degree, for at least a week on either side of the exact date. One of the reasons station points are sometimes even more important than your own personal transits is that everyone on Earth is experiencing them at the same time. You can get a good understanding of the ebb and flow of planetary energies for a year by paying attention to station points, and applying a few key words: Mercury - communications, transportation (slowed down at station points) Venus - relationships, money (slowed down at station points) Mars - aggressive, assertive Jupiter - expansive, freedom, optimistic Saturn - restriction, limitation, slow, focus, concentration Uranus - unusual, unexpected, electric, creative, restless Neptune - foggy, spacey, spiritual, intuitive Pluto - transformational, revolutionary, deep drives & motivation Here's the stationary points for 2002: January 18 - Mercury Retrograde - 14 Aquarius
How do you use this information? For example, because Neptune can be "foggy, spacey," the information you receive at the time of a Neptune station would be too unclear to make important life decisions. Or because Saturn symbolizes "limitation and restriction," you wouldn't want to put a new expansive business plan into place at a Saturn station time. [For a good technical explanation of why planets appear to retrograde read the book "Horoscope Symbols" by Robert Hand ] If you have questions about this article or topics for a future "Beginner's Corner" just email me at astrology@marciasacks.com (c) 2002 Marcia M.
