Capricorn energy faces right into hard work and long term projects. Use this New Noon to move forward in the most business-like way to further your ambitions. With Venus conjunct the Sun and Moon, let the head and heart work together to develop plans to clarify and enhance your life's purpose. JANUARY 18, 2002 - MERCURY RETROGRADE - 14 AQUARIUS More and more, people I talk with who know very little else about astrology are familiar with Mercury Retrograde because of so many clear examples of things going backward during those times. The most proactive individuals have developed a list of coping strategies for Mercury retrograde such as double- and triple-checking important paperwork, avoiding major purchase of items ruled by Mercury (such as cars), and - very important! - thinking before they speak. Don't forget that the three weeks Mercury is retrograde is an excellent time for researching and developing information for projects, to be used when Mercury goes direct. JANUARY 28, 2002 - FULL MOON - 8 LEO 51 - 4:50 PM CST The Leo-Aquarius polarity is best used when one's leadership qualities are brought into play for the highest good of the group rather than for the individual ego. With the Full Moon opposed to Neptune, the energy may be 'spacey' or confused. Avoid major decisions until you're certain you have all the information. FEBRUARY 7 - SATURN DIRECT - 8 GEMINI
When Mercury is at a station point, communication and transportation generally go slower. When Saturn is at a station point, the pace of time as a whole is slower. So don't expect to rush around and get things done at the last minute. Plan to work ahead before February 7/8 and then keep your schedule flexible for unexpected delays. Or expect to be in slow lines at the post office, bank and grocery checkout (great times for mindfulness meditation). Avoid negative thinking (the Saturn principle of limitation may impact the mind ruled by Mercury). Use Saturn to focus on your highest priorities and commitments. *****
