Practical Guidance with a Spiritual
Perspective
******************************************************************************
*Forecast
NOVEMBER 15, 2001 - NEW MOON - 22 SCORPIO 58 - 12:40 AM CST Scorpio energy is introspective. With shorter days and longer nights it's the perfect season to take time for reflection. Reflection is quiet time for just thinking about things. Read a paragraph or two of spiritual text and take a few minutes to just stay with it, letting thoughts about it circle around in your mind. Before you go to sleep each night, think about your day, how was it successful, what tripped you up, or what actions you would like to have improved. Or use your introspection to think about your life goals in preparation for the solstice (December 21st) or new year (January 1st). NOVEMBER 30, 2001 - FULL MOON - 8 GEMINI 43 - 2:49 PM CST This Full Moon in Gemini conjuncts the
Saturn-Pluto opposition, that ongoing position that reflects the struggles
not only in world events but in our everyday lives. [See the July
through October Astrology Updates for more on Saturn-Pluto - the archives

My clients have called about tough issues like money delayed, court battles,
whether to push on or give up a failing business, and dealing with difficult
relationships. Don't give up. What's delayed to you is not
denied to you. Saturn and Pluto aren't going away but the aspect
is separating for now and the energy to accomplish things will be much
smoother in December. In the meantime, Saturn demands practicality
and attention to responsibilities. Pluto says, "I want my deepest
desires

****************************************************************************** My article "As Within, So Without: Your Challenge in Relationships" was translated and published in the Finnish magazine AstroLogos (to see it in English: http://mountainastrologer.com/sacks1000.html ) ***** Death by Horoscope is a themed anthology that features well-written mysteries with intriguing characters and twisting plots. The best part (for me) about these short stories is the generally respectful look at astrology and astrologers. Many of the authors explained at length (usually via dialogue) that astrology is more than just the daily newspaper sun sign column. They explained about the birthdata required, the time spent in calculation, and more than one writer had a character exclaim, "She looks so normal!" when meeting a professional astrologer. One of my favorite stories was the first in the book "The Astrologer Who Predicted his own Murder" by Peter Tremayne, a Sister Fidelma mystery, which takes place in 7th century Ireland, and does about as good job of explaining horary astrology as you can do in short fiction. As an astrologer, and as a mystery reader, I found Death by Horoscope quite thrilling. [I was fortunate to find it at my local library, but it's also available on Amazon.com ] *****
