Practical Guidance with a Spiritual
Perspective
******************************************************************************
*Forecast
****************************************************************************** All life is change. And no period of time exemplifies this better than the next 30 days. All the outer planets have times of strength and influence. So the energy of the days ahead shifts quickly from Neptune to Uranus to Jupiter to Saturn and Pluto. Understanding the skillful means needed to make use of these energies is what astrology is really all about. OCTOBER 16, 2001 - NEW MOON - 23 LIBRA
30 - 2:23 PM CDT
Tact and diplomacy are keywords for Libra, but with Mars squaring from Capricorn, the New Moon will encourage people to be frank and direct as well (actually, if I were to be frank and direct, I'd say that Mars may encourage people to argue intensely rather than debate politely). Combined with the Neptune nebulousness
- that foggy "who am I, where am I going" feeling - it is not a good time
for new beginnings. Avoid decision-making for important projects.
Things just aren't clear yet.
For the average person, Neptune stations
(think of this in effect at least a week on either side of October 17th)
require staying highly organized and writing everything down. File
things in their proper place or they might not be found again. Don't
assume your short term memory will hold that phone number -- write it down!
OCTOBER 22, 2001 - MERCURY DIRECT - 14 LIBRA - 7:23 PM CDT Lost things found. New information comes to light. But because we're still experiencing Neptune energy, it's still not the perfect time for beginning big projects. Take a few more days to determine if you really have all the data you need. OCTOBER 28 - DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS
- 2 AM
OCTOBER 30 - URANUS DIRECT - 21 AQUARIUS
Happy Halloween and best wishes for a meaningful Samhain. If Uranus is unexpected changes of plan and lots of restless energy, double that when it's combined with the full moon. Aquarians generally enjoy the chaos, while the other fixed signs - Taurus, Leo and Scorpio generally are forced to change their plans. Your ability to go with the flow will help. However, when you know in advance there will be an input of high energy, you can plan in advance where you'd like to output that energy -- sort of like electricity, which Uranus rules. What projects would you like to plug some high energy into? The chaotic Uranian energy can also be "accident prone." Slow down -- in particular while driving and using electrical appliances. I often say to my clients for Uranus stations, "Don't stick the fork in the toaster!" Basically, just take three seconds to think about what you're doing before you do it. NOVEMBER 2 - SATURN OPPOSITION PLUTO
- 13 GEMINI-13 SAGITTARIUS
Combined with the Full Moon and Uranus
station from the end of October, these November 2 transits will make for
one of the most stressful times of the year. The Saturn-Pluto opposition
has been going on for months, so if you've learned how to deal gracefully
with the issues of control and manipulation that surround you, hey -- no
problem. If you've figured out how to use Saturn and Pluto to gain
focus and determination -- you've learned their lesson.

take a workshop in an energy healing technique called Quantum Touch.
It's a simple hands-on technique that includes body awareness and breathing
patterns to send healing energy to another, either in person or for distance
healing. It can also be used for self-healing. I've been practicing
on myself and others since the workshop with good results.
