Certainly, the over-cycle is the transiting
Saturn-Pluto opposition which I've written about over the past few months.
Pluto rules underground criminal activity and Saturn rules structure and
concrete.
But why September 11th and why those people, in that place, at that time? I can see nothing in the aspects of the day that would allow any astrologer to make a specific advance prediction. In the meantime ... I am meditating on the mantra "Om shanti, shanti, shanti." "Om" is the powerful Sanskrit seed sound that attunes us to unity, the oneness of the whole universe. "Shanti" is the Sanskrit word for peace. By meditating or praying for peace, we send out our own subtle rescue effort, balancing and calming the astral forces, aiding the transition of those who are leaving the physical plane, and sustaining those who remain and grieve. SEPTEMBER 17, 2001 - NEW MOON - 24 VIRGO - 5:27 AM CDT The New Moon is in Virgo which is excellent energy for learning and studying. Virgo New Moons are also good for getting organized. Mercury trining Uranus on that day will emphasize clear and accurate communications. SEPTEMBER 26, 2001 - SATURN RETROGRADE - 14 GEMINI Because Saturn continues to be in opposition to Pluto at this time, power struggles and issues of control and manipulation will again be strong. In general, Saturn stations usually symbolize slowdowns and timing frustrations a week on either side of the date. Don't paint yourself into a box with a rigid schedule. Plan extra time for both work and travel. Plan some R&R and play time, too. OCTOBER 1, 2001 - MERCURY RETROGRADE - 29 LIBRA Consider your words carefully. Libra rules diplomacy but with Mercury retrograde what you say may not express what you really mean. As always, read the fine print on any contracts before you sign. OCTOBER 2, 2001 - FULL MOON - 9 ARIES - 8:49 AM CDT The Full Moon in Aries brings vibrant energy and that impatient feeling of wanting to go head first into things. Take at least one deep centering breath before you plunge into your next adventure. Venus, the planet of relationships, is squaring Saturn and Pluto -- avoid issuing ultimatums to your significant other. There are some times that are good for confrontation. This isn't one of them. In the future: 10-16-01 New Moon
