12/18/02 - Thursday An article about the Star of Bethlehem and Astrology/Astronomy in New Scientist online.  I was browsing there after looking at the article about math and shoelaces. 12/13/02 - Friday Gain some perspective.   12/12/02 - Thursday My new favorite site - The Plumb Design Thesaurus.  12-2-02 - Monday Watched Taken on the SciFi Channel.  Great cinematic quality for a TV mini-series, great acting.  So far, the plot isn't anything thrilling or new but I'll give it some time to develop over the next 9 episodes. We saw Solaris over the weekend.  I give it a thumbs down.  I'd like a science fiction movie to cover new ground and this was all old stuff, done and re-done in SF stories and Star Trek plots.     previous/next
