This week I'm reading:

Anatomy of the Spirit
by Caroline Myss

2/21/01 - Wednesday

"Be brave enough to live creatively. The creative is the place where no
one else has ever been. You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. You can't get there by bus, only by hard work, risking, and by not quite knowing what you're doing. What you'll discover will be wonderful: yourself." --Alan Alda
from Inscriptions Magazine, Jade Walker, editor

New Astrology Update

2/19/01 - Monday

Tonight, I told my meditation class the secret of the ages.  I'll tell it to you, too:

"Just do it."

It's not just a Nike commercial catch phrase.  It means that no matter how many classes you take or how many books on meditation you read, it you don't actually sit down and meditate you will not receive the benefit of the technique.  The more consistently you practice meditation, the greater the benefits.

David played in the District 211 Honors Orchestra today <kvell.wav>

Couch potato night for Rich & me - we were just in that type of mood - watched Eddie Murphy's Doctor Dolittle on network TV.  Guilty confession:  I liked it!  The animals were outspoken and we had fun trying to guess the voice actors (I went to IMDB to fill in the blanks.)

Chamomile Aromatherapy Candle from Illuminations.com
2/16/01 - Friday

I want to share one of my favorite poems:  Decide to Network by Robert Muller.  I had it on a postcard that I got probably back in the 1970's.  When the postcard started to disintegrate, I typed it up to make sure I didn't lose it.  I was thinking about it so strongly today that I went on the internet to find him.  Sure enough, Dr. Muller has a website and he's written other Decide To poems, plus his other dreams and ideas for peace.
