I attended the noon meditation at The Temple of Kriya Yoga .  The theme was wisdom and compassion.  The mantra of the month is "Om Tara Tutare Ture Soha."  Sharon talked about "metta " -- the Buddhist concept of lovingkindness, and guided us in a meditation to call on the heart of wisdom for healing ourselves and others.  Later, I asked her if there was a book in which I could read further on metta  and this meditation technique -- she said, The Tibetan Book of Living and Dying by Sogyal Rimpoche.  I actually have it on my shelf of books-to-read.  It's been there for a year.  I think I'll put it on high priority and move it to the stack of books next to my bed.

After the Temple, I had lunch at Father & Son Pizza with my friends Shelley and Genie.  Genie says she reads my weblog so -- "Hi, Genie!"
