- Tuesday
Just got turned on to Wah!, a musician who does chanting. Her website lists her upcoming Chicago appearances. The best part is the products page. She has whole 8 minute tracks off her CD Krishna album to listen to, not just little samples. Lots of other good long samples from other albums. 4/27/02 - Saturday Michael Williams, a 28-year-old Alabama congressional candidate wants to fund NASA by taxing works of science fiction, according to a Wired.com article. 4/25/02 - Thursday Practiced hatha yoga with the new videotape Yoga in Nature by my friend Evamarie Pillipuf who teaches in Barrington, IL. She has a very friendly and relaxing instructional style and I enjoyed the wooded and lake scenery behind her. More info on Evamarie and her videotape series at her website Tree of Fitness. 4/23/02 - Tuesday Rich got interested in one of those infomercial cooking machines, but decided to do a web check before he called that 800 number. Good thing he found this 'real guy' type review in Men's Health online. 4/17/02 - Wednesday Added link to Yoga Directory on links page. Lots of resources for surfing the 'net about yoga and meditation. 4/8/02 - Monday Do you have a link to an internet page that's no longer working, and you really need to see that page again? Try putting the URL into the search engine at Archive.org . They have 10 billion webpages saved from 1996 to the present. And 16 million Usenet postings (remember -- always be careful of what you say and how you say it on the 'net -- it's all saved for posterity). 4/3/02 - Wednesday Astrodatabank has posted Denzel Washington's horoscope. Congratulations to him on his Oscar! Training day was one of the movies I didn't see last year, but I enjoyed watching him receive his Academy Award at the presentation. We did see other nominated films like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Beautiful Mind, Gosford Park, Memento, and Moulin Rouge. I thought Peter Jackson did a superb job with Lord of the Rings - I re-read LOTR afterward to see what was cut-out, and, although I was disappointed Tom Bombadil wasn't included, I could see the script tightened the time frame for the sake of the movie viewers' sitting capacity. Memento was my vote for best original screenplay. 4/2/02 - Tuesday Finally updated my bookjournal. Just don't have time to write long reviews of every book (actually I only share the good ones, life's too short to write negative book reviews). I figure I'll list them and try to make a brief comment, at least. 3/31/02 - Sunday Not that I need more newsletters (I'm subscribed to at least a dozen), but I couldn't resist signing up for SARK's new monthly. I love her books and posters. I just read Inspiration Sandwich this month. 3/29/02 - Friday Fascinating article by Ray Grasse about a possible new planet. 3/25/02 - Monday The March
issue of Inward Adventure Meditation newsletter is online.
